3rd annual jazz festival Nov 17, 18 & 19

THE RIVIERA MAYA, FLATTERED BY INTERNATIONAL ARTISTS
As an on-going tradition, during November the 17th, 18th and 19th of this year, the third Latin Jazz Festival of the Riviera Maya organized by The Riviera Maya Tourism Board, will take place as a part of the varied calendar of cultural and musical events. Once again this year, the Riviera Maya has the honor to present international artists of jazz music in a Caribbean paradisiacal environment like the one offered at the Riviera Maya.
With the participation of the Riviera Maya Hotel Association, The Riviera Maya Tourism Board, the Hall Center, the event organizers and tourist industry of the Riviera Maya, a great musical project will be offered to the visitors and to the local people, enriching and making the stay in this paradise more pleasant and fun.
This year, we will have two of the best voices of the national Jazz scene, Iraida Noriega y Magos Herreral, who will share the scene to give us an amazing show to fulfill every expectation. Their show will be on Thursday, November 17th, and it will be opened to all public in the central park in front of the Hall Center. The same day Manelo will delight us with the best of the local Latin Jazz with a new and different proposal. Aguamala, the beloved group of Playa del Carmen, will perform again with their original jazz – rock music style.
On Friday, November 18th, Magos Herrera and Iraida Noriega, will perform again but this time at the Royal Hideaway Hotel together with Elizabeth Meza, great singer of wide international recognition within the Jazz industry. This show will present the combination of the four best voices of Mexico offering a unique show, which will be completed with the presence of great Mexican musicians like Enrique Neri and Cristobal López. As a special guest, we will have the presence of the Cecilia Toussaint, the youngest of the Toussaint dynasty, who will perform in company of her brothers.
In addition, for a big wrap up, on Saturday November 19th, Ivan Lins, a live legend of the Brazilian music will perform free of charge at the Mamitas and Tukan Beach. This is their first time in Mexico and they will perform together with the Toussaint Brothers: Enrique, Eugenio and Fernando, who have created the must important group of Mexican Jazz named Sacbé.
The same day, we will be pleased by the presence of the extraordinary group from Minneapolis named “Mint Condition”, who are visiting Mexico for their first time as well. They are the most important group of the actual scene, that joins elements of rhythm and blues, hip-hop and jazz to create one of the most original sounds of the moment, accomplishing the first places at the Billboard list for several times. This time they will present their latest CD "Livin’ the Luxury Brown".
Beyond the extraordinary artistic values of this Festival, there is the perfect scenery of the region and its beauty. The Riviera Maya has become one of the principal tourist destinations in the world, offering to visitors a great landscape and the magnificence of its historical and cultural heritage. For three days the new voices of Jazz will sound together with the Mexican Caribbean palms, turning this Latin Jazz Festival of the Riviera Maya to an invitation for all the local people and to our tourists that come to visit our beautiful destination and discover these special added values to their vacation.
