Vacation through Funjet

We are really close to scheduling our vacation to PDC through Funjet, and were wondering if anyone has dealt with them? We will book through an on-line agent who booked our honeymoon last year (and I trust), but we had American Express Travel on our HM. I have heard a few negative things, but mostly positive about Funjet.
I have never flown charter before, only Delta and American. Can anyone give me any insight as to what the plane ride might be like, the transfers (in a big van, or maybe a taxi all to ourselves?), and any other info?

I know it is probably different with every trip, but just wanted some general insight.

Thanks,
Aims

I have flown on funjet but have not booked a vacation package through them. I absolutely loved the customer service that the staff provided from the ticket counter to the fun flight attendants and pilots. Funjet usually has the best air prices so I now use them frequently. Good luck

ditto what monte said. funjet has the lowest prices and their customer service is no worse than any other airline we have flown.

I've used Funjet a couple of times. They don't have a charter from here, but the transfers were by minivan and they had reps in the hotel too. It may depend on where you're staying what kind of transfers you get. We never had any problems with Funjet, the reps all were friendly and didn't push you to buy their excursions.

I use Funjet for my clients all the time. If they live in a city serviced by a charter, there is usually a promo code that can be applied for an additional discount too. I always cross check prices with other vacation companies and use whomever offers up the best price, but in many cases Funjet wins. They do offer a non stop transfer option so look into that if you want to cut your travel time in half. Thier customer service/charter flights really are no different than anyone other vacation company's but since you're using an agent, it's your agent that would be dealing with them directly if there were an issues and not you so I wouldn't worry about this.

Thanks guys for the info. We will probably be staying at the Royal Porto Real, but will make our final decision tomorrow and book within a week.
Anyone happen to know if they have finished the construction at the Royal, yet?

We're getting very excited, but so much is going on right now, it's hard to focus on the cerveza and sun.

Not a charter, but you can still use Funjet and book scheduled air. I use Funjet for people from ALLLL over the country. For instance, there are certain hotels that say, Apple Vacations doesn't carry...such as the El Dorado's or the Royal Porto. If someone wants either of those hotels, I use Funjet and scheduled air if from the Northeast or another city that Funjet doesn't offer charter service from.

We're staying at the RPR next month. I'll let you know about the construction.
