How to open multiple IE browsers?
I was screwing around with my programs last night and managed to mess stuff up.
Used to be able to have multiple IE browsers open at the same time but now I can't. When I click to open another browser, it just refreshes the one currently open. Help!!!????? (I think the bull riding scrambled my brain...) |

Do you really mean multiple windows within IE? Multiple browsers would be IE, Netscape, Firefox, Safari... multiple programs.
If that's what you mean then can't you just go to File-->New Window? That's the way my copy of IE reads. (Had to dust it off to see!) That new window may pop up with the same page you were viewing, but that's easily changed. I just don't know why you'd have to do all that stuff Mikey was suggesting (which may also be a big pain if you lose a lot of cookies and don't want to be logging in to all those sites again like from the beginning). I'd try just restarting before that, in case it's something less complicated that just needs to be reset or something. Incidentally, IE still doesn't offer tabbed browsing? Or is my version just out of date? Steve |

I'm with Roni, not just because of tabbed browsing, either.
In fact, James is with Roni, too, if the little "Get Firefox" button at the bottom right corner of every page here is any indication. Just scroll down and you'll see it. Steve |

Thanks, all!!!!
Don (YWGDon&Deb) came to my rescue and remotely fixed my screw up. I'm all set once again!! And Don is my HERO!!!! (That guy really knows his s*%#!!) I guess I accidentally deleted Internet Explorer from my computer last night. Note to self: Don't mess around with the computer when you're still dragging your ass from a Texas vacation. |

You can go into your bookmarks and right click on your saved pages and click tabbed browsing and it creates a tab so all you have to do is click on it and it opens...In FireFox...For all those who use it can you save them so each time you open the browser they stay there....I keep loosing mine when I close out of FF even when I hit lock...I have used IE for years and have been converted to FF...

I can use I.E. and open as many pages as I want and they will all be stacked up on my taskbar. I can switch to any page I want anytime, without losing anything except for maybe having to hit refresh if it is a forum or such. Is that what you are referring to? still confused.

Way superior, to my way of thinking. Your mileage may vary. Most advanced browsers offer it. IE does not. Ron |
