SERC is located immediately south of the Paradisus (about 20 minutes north of Playa del Carmen, and about 5 minutes north of Puerto Morelos). Here's a link to Laura & Perry's Hotel Locator section of their website. Secrets isn't on their site yet, but the Paradisus is:

I agree w/ Robino that SERC is good for a larger group. We were at Secrets Capri last May w/ 2 other couples & that worked out fine since it's a fairly small resort. In May 2003, we were at Aventura Spa Palace w/ 14 of us (7 couples) total & that was nice due to the much larger size of ASP. SERC isn't nearly as large as ASP, but it's big enough so that your group could kind of spread out a little if you wanted to.
