Hi Mike and Julie. My first trip to play will be from the 21-26. Would love to meet for a drink. Don't know anything about anything in Playa but would love some tips. Traveling alone at this point and staying at La Tortuga.
Cheers, Carolyn |

How's the 22nd sound, 6-7pm.... not sure where though. Every time we've been in Playa, it's been for shopping (Julie) and I would stagger around in the streets with a Corona in each hand, LOL. We've enjoyed some restaurants, but no bars. Would you guys object to making it a dinner/boozefest combo? There's a great place we'd go to, I forgot the name though. You have the MacDonalds above the Scotia Bank on 5th, it's down the street towards the beach from there. Nice view of the water, great fajitas, open lot across, it isn't too far down the street from 5th. Only problem though, they didn't sell Coronas at the time, just Delsaqi XX (spelling).
What do you guys/gals think, any other ideas? |

http://playadelcarmeninfo.com/playa-...ad.php?t=13756 I looked on my Mapchick map of Playa and these are the restaurants across from McDonalds: D'Nada, El Tacolote, and El Encuentro. Do any of these sound familliar? I've seen a lot of peeps on here talk about El Oasis, supposed to have great shrimp tacos. |

This place sounds good if anyone fancies it "Yaxche- (ya-shay) One of the nicest restaurants in town. Mayan restaurant with gourmet food. This place has won a bunch of awards. 8th st between 5th and 10th "
Just need the day and time to meet up , it would be real nice if some of the Playa peeps could make it too ![]() Last edited by ANDY&JEN : 09-07-2005 at 06:33 PM. |

Ok. From what I have gathered; We are meeting at Yaxche on the 22nd at 7 o'clock. How will I know you all? I have shoulder length blond curly hair and will probably be alone.
Do we wear a carnation or something? Maybe a specific color? this is all new to me, so a little help here. I am staying at La Tortuga. I am sure after this trip , Playa will be like home. Am bringing my two sons for christmas break and this is my preliminary trip to scope it out,- |
