You know we will try, Karen- but we just can't officially commit just yet as that will be a very busy weekend at the orchard (I think I might be able to convince Brian to take an afternoon off though).
And actually, while we're at it, since it's a long weekend we would really love it if anyone interested wanted to come out for a few hours and pick some apples, have some wine and cheese on top of the ridge (with gorgeous views, and prime "leaf-peeping"), and maybe meet Ramses - sometime that weekend, too. Saturday or Monday, since the Boston meet is on Sunday? We'd love to have you!
We're in Groton, MA, about 35 miles NW of Boston, right below Nashua, NH. We're an easy hour (or less) ride from Boston.
Brian will kill me for posting this link because the site has not been updated for a long time but it might give you a hint of the beauty of the orchardAutumn Hills Orchard

Beautiful place! We are a big apple growing area here....our big Apple Fest celebration is next weekend. Nice to see you using IPM....

Awwwrighty!!! Most likely it will be Joe's American Bar and Grill (at the waterfront) and will start around 12/1PMish. Will get more definite with the place/time as it gets closer, so keep an eye out on this thread.

And yesssssss, there will be a "few" drinks being enjoyed I'm SURE!! (as well as some lunch, I assume)

Closest they can get to growing organic out here on the east coast. If I could get fruitfly to post more often he could tell you a lot more.

By the way, trains run from North Station in Boston to Ayer, just 10 minutes away, several times a day. If anyone is interested, coming from Boston and don't want to drive, I'd be happy to ferry to you to and from the train station/orchard.

Hey, Anne & Brian..... thanks for the offer of the "pickin'".... but I might be awaiting out-of-towners that morning who will hopefully come into the area with a certain Peep Meet on their agenda.

If'n you find a buncha folk are gonna be up your way, I could delay the start of the Peep Meet by a couple of hours (say 3ish??), so keep me informed.

No, we're not saying Sunday....(let me re-read my post) rather Saturday, or Monday, as it's a lonnngggg weekend?? Prolong the peep-meet excitement and come an hour out of town into the beautiful countryside for a visit out here too if possible?
