Zshpoo-Ha.
At least that's what I was told. The place you are looking at is gorgeous, and yes very expensive. But you only get married once (right?). We spend two or three days on this beach every time we go. We walked through Bel Ha a few years ago, nobody staying there at the time. Looked outstanding. Love the beach because it can be calm one day and surf up the next. Cafe del Mar just next to Copacabana for great luches and cold cold beers. Go. You'll love it. |

It is a beautiful Beach and I would think a wonderful place for a wedding!
The Villa looks fantastic! After several visits to Xpu-Ha we stayed at the Copacabana just to be on that beach and we just loved that beach. |

That beach is indeed wonderful.....I still remember it from back in the day when I first visited the area and stayed at the Robinson Club (now Gala I think....or was it Maeva??). There is a little place were you can have fish that is freshly caught just in the middle of the beach (if it is still there.....)- great hangout.

Hotel Esencia? NO WAY!
Run for your sanity. Hotel Esencia CANCELLED MY ENTIRE WEDDING 1 month before. I had it booked in January. In May, they sent my agent an email note telling her that they just weren't going to have my wedding there. No reason, no professionalism, nothing!!!!
I ended up in Playa and I am so glad I did because people had their own independence to get around and get the things they needed. Xpu-ha is beautiful but remote - there is not much of anything to do there, which seems fine and romantic until you have done it for a few days!!! I can't believe Xpu-Ha would have escaped Emily Hurricane unscathed either... Anyway what I know is that the Esencia is horrible, and I personally can vouch for them being completely unpredictable and problematic. |
