Yeah! Finally starting our trip report
It has been a few years since i have written one, so bear with me, especially with the sizing of the photos.
Once again Melanie and i decided to take a trip to Playa. This will be our third trip, and i was so excited to go in November. Last 2 times we went in July and August, and it was hot as hell! Well, as some of you know, i live in Colorado, wayyyyy up in the mountains. I absolutely love it here. Well, it just happened to be that we had our first major storm of the season, that started 3 days before my flight took off. I live 3 hours from the Denver airport. At 8 pm the night before i left, i was told that the pass i have to take to get over to Denver was closed
Oh well, we go the long way and hit up I70. Well CRAP!! An hour later, i learned that that was closed as well. No other way out, so i was stuck in this snowy valley, not able to make my flight
I cried all night, and threw many temper tantrums
Well, i drank myself to sleep, and at 4 am i hear a knock at our door. It is my friend Jason, who told me to get dressed, cause i WAS going to Mexico, and he was gonna drive me to the airport! Yeah! I70 finally opened. Had to go the long way, but made it safe and sound to the Denver airport 4 and a half hours later.
