If I prepay online this will keep my telcel amigo activated?
I will not have to go in an reactivate....just want to confirm this.
Is it 2 months or 3 months of inactivity til they are put into limbo?
I was under the impression it was 3 months, but if its 2 months I will put $ on at the end of the month and I will be on when we arrive in March....sweet.
You know I am constantly amazed at how much easier it is to be invested in Mexico. Each time I return there are new and exciting changes in most systems we have been dealing with for the past 10 yrs. So excellent.
As always, this site is amazing because of people who are willing to share their personal experiences to help ease the way for others. Thank you

Yes, if you put a $10.00 US credit on it every 60 days it will keep your account active. We did this over the past year when we left in March and returned in January. We arrived and I checked my credit and I had 800 or so pesos on it, so it kept my previous balance and added the new pesos to it. I was just reading the fine print on the Amigo plan and my Spanish is just passable, but it seems that you have 60 days to consume the amount that you have on the phone, if you haven't used it all up and want to keep what you have you must purchase a new credit. If you haven't kept it currrent you will lose your credit in 180 days. And after 300 days of non-use your number will be deactivated and reassigned to someone else. Does anyone else know if that is an accurate interpretation of their rules?
