I was just reading the fine print on the Amigo plan and my Spanish is just passable, but it seems that you have 60 days to consume the amount that you have on the phone, if you haven't used it all up and want to keep what you have you must purchase a new credit. If you haven't kept it currrent you will lose your credit in 180 days. And after 300 days of non-use your number will be deactivated and reassigned to someone else. Does anyone else know if that is an accurate interpretation of their rules?

i think if you put credit in your phone and use the phone before 180 days elapse all is well and you will get your credit back
i don't think you really need to put in ten dollars, there are recharges for 30 pesos
you can also use your phone while you are in the US, just text to someone, or call, it will use some credit, but it will ensure your phone is active
i think i let one of my phones set for longer than six months, put some credit on it and it was fine
i suspect the 300 days and you lose it is accurate
as for going to telcel center in centro maya, it should not be too hard to tell them you have had your phone for over a year and want your rate reduced
this results in a substantial saving on per minute charges
they will not do this unless you ask
no wonder that dude is the richest man in the world
