Never been to Aruba, but the best snorkeling I've been to is in Fiji.

Haven't been to Fiji so I can't compare. When they get a 3 hour flight to Fiji, I'll go.

It's an 11-hour from LAX. If you ever decide to go, make sure you get the flight that stops in Hawaii for an hour or 2 so you can get off the plane.

Aruba was a little over 5 hrs but we changed planes in Miami. 3 hours is my limit. I about climbed the walls flying to New York. Still trying to figure out how I am going to get to Italy next year.....lots of drugs, I guess..but I have to make that trip.

Sorry Roni.....back to the bikini girls.

Aruba Baby

I'll be there in 2 weeks. Sadly, the Natural Bridge posted below collapsed about 3 weeks ago. It is still a beautiful Island, and yes, unbelievable snorkeling!!

Crazy world these days and Aruba isn't immune either. Natalle Holloway, the famous Divi Divi tree cut down by idiots, the Natural Bridge collapsing after thousands of years.

Bummer.... they were working on it when we were there several years ago..trying to save it I guess. I wonder how many people have stood on that beach getting their pics made in front of that?

David and I spent a week at the Holiday Inn Sunspree (same resort as Natalie Holloway) back in 2001. Had a great time. Did a snorkeling tour on a 30' catamaran with only one other couple and saw awesome fish. Also enjoyed a really fun night doing the Kukoo Kunuku bus bar-hopping trip. Thought for sure we'd return (5 hours nonstop from Boston), but alas, we've both left our hearts in Playa.......

Sure am glad we rented a car one day and not only went to Baby Beach but also ventured out to the Natural Bridge. Sad to hear that Mother Nature has taken it away.
