Beach Wedding in February
We have just been asked by friends to suggest a perfect location in or near Playa for a small wedding ceremony. The couple does not want to be "centred out" and likes the idea of a small intimate setting.
I recall a place about 15 minutes north of Playa, I think, at a place called Paradise Point or Beach where there is a small pier and the immediate neighbour to the south is several "modest" huts and a bar. Does anyone know the name of this place and/or how I can contact them? I'll owe you "big time" if you can put us in touch with these people. Hope to hear frm you soon. Bill and Deb |

I don't know this place, but there are lots of nice areas of beach to have a wedding. Do your friends have a place to stay? Are they interested in a playacar house to rent with access to the beach? I'm planning a wedding and there are a lot of alternatives to the AI weddings that many others do. Heater has a trip report on her wedding, which was very nice and she had it Las Palapas. More info. and we may be able to help. Me, not too familiar with the north of playa beach area. Other options may be Tulum or Puerto Morelos, rental home in Playa del Secreto....small, more remote, less inhabited areas. Myself, playa's great and there is something there for everyone.....even when it comes to beach scenes!!!

Let me know if you find one!!
i too am trying to plan a wedding somewhere different and not necessarily in the AI fashion. Please let me know if you find out anything cool and fun. I have also heard that the playa del secreto is a wonderful place, they evidently have several homes to rent out for larger parties and it is a private small community. i have seen a web site, but not too sure exactly what it is, but try searching playa del secreto. let me know if you come up with anything else via email. good luck to you

I got married at the Blue Parrot in June 2005. Expected the worst, was amazed at the best. It was intimate and fantastic - we had the wedding in the bar area which has a roof but is open on the sides - most get married on the beach though. Anyway, it was great, and they bent over backwards for us, a small group of 20. Food was great too. You can see pictures under "multimedia" and "moxiemarlo"
