A brand new Bamba Jarocha has opened on 30th avenue and 22nd street, where a pharmacy used to be. Haven't tried it...yet.
Also, Kabuki is a very good restaurant, I've tried (I think) all of the sushi places in town and it was my favorite for quality, presentation, and fair prices. It has been a while since I've eaten there, however. |

Well this has been VERY helpful as I will be staying at Riveria Caribe Maya as well. I remember James giving a master class on Pollo Asada on this forum. Are there any good places to find this magical dish near RCM? How late are these little local places usually open? I won't be getting to town till probably 7pm or later and I'm sure I'll be hungry (though NOT being hungry probably won't stop me).
I have a Mapchick map but it's a couple of years old. I suppose I should get another one. Last edited by sunscreenaddict : 10-11-2005 at 06:32 AM. |

Incidentally, the one on 30th and 22nd is called "La BOmbo Jarocha, not La Bamba as I initially thought. I ate there the other day, just a little shrimp tostada as a snack. It was very tasty, but I thought the menu was a little high-priced. |
