Where have you stayed?

I found a thread on a dreaded "other board" I found interesting. Someone asked everyone to list where they have stayed. Of ocurse, in "other board" style, it became a "quit bragging" thread, but I myself found it interesting to see where everyone else has gone and seems to have the potential to start some interesting conversations. So I'll start....

Spring break 2004 - Viva Maya 7 nights

November 2004 - Omni Cancun 9 nights (we only got to do this trip because we gave up our seats on above trip and got free tickets, then got cheap rooms at Omni on a travel auction).

Nov/Dec 2005 - ASP 7 nights, Coz Palace 7 nights (honeymoon)

anyone else care to share????

August 1990: Cancun Palace (7 days)

August 2002: Kailuum II (4 days)
Tamarindo B& B - Cozumel (4 days)

May 2003: Kailuum II (9 days)

UPCOMING TRIPS

December 2005: Shangri-La Caribe (8 days)

December 2006: Maya Tulum (most likely) (8 days)

On our past two trips (February 2002 and March of this year) and our upcoming trip in December, we have stayed at the same hotel, the El Tukan right in Playa.

We don't like all-inclusives and we like the smaller hotels in town, and so we pick the only non-AI hotel that the Canadian packages offer.

But we like it a lot though!

I have stayed at the Mayan Palace (Grand Mayan) and the Hotel Eclipse. Both of these were this past year. Two very difference experiences.

September 2001-Continental Plaza
October 2001-Xaman Ha Condo
April 2002-July 2002-Mimi del Mar for one week then to Chambalum Condos, don't know if that is still the name it was on 30th between 5th and 10th
May 2003-Chambalum Condo-same condo until the lights went out and didn't come back on, we got moved upstairs.
May 2005-Hotel Adelia Maria

Next year for Peep Fest-Hotel Zanzibar

Our Riviera Maya visits have included the Palladium, Iberostar Tucan, Viva Maya, Barcelo, La Tortuga, Villa Amanecer and Vista del Mar. Some visits with child and some without. IMO they are all different in their own way, but we loved them all. I'm a total bargain hunter too which helps us to be able to visit more often.

Will be back at the Villa Amanecer in November for 10 nights and we can't wait!

Aug. 2005 - El Dorado Royale - honeymoon (was booked at El Dorado Seaside moved due to hurricane Emily I think, there's been so darn many this year I've lost track)

In July-August 2004 and in July-August 2005 we stayed at El Tukan Condotel and we like it a lot.
