Fun Entertainment needed for Wedding 2006

I'm getting married at the Iberostar Quetzal/Tucan in Nov 2006 and was looking for some fun entertainment we could get or hire during the dancing/reception part of the wedding. Any suggestions or ideals? Thanks alot!!

I went to a Mexican wedding where about a 12-member Mariachi band came in about halfway through the reception. I was surprised that the mostly Mexican guests were as, if not more, enthusiastically greeting them as foreign guests might be.

I think I'm having the Mariachi's play during our cocktail hour (before dinner). I could always see if they're willing to come back.

for our wedding we had the mariachis for cocktail hour on the beach and then surprised everyone and had them come back for another hour during the reception. it was the best part of the whole night, they were so much fun. worth every penny.

Have you seen "Wedding Crashers"?! I think you need to find some of them (and invite me!)!

Maybe you could hire some of the animators at the Iberostar?

Yes, I've seen Wedding Crashers. Great movie! Any other ideas for fun entertainment besides the Mirachi's?

Doubtful! if the reception is after 8 then the animation staff is busying doing the nightly show. I got asked to babysit one night- had to wait till 1 in the theater with the kids then take them back to their room and watch them because I wasn't allowed to leave the theater till 11.

Also, very reasonably priced for a large group that will play for 3 hours. Let me know if you are interested. My friend liked them so much he is having them at his wedding in November. Rose
