WTF? I need some kind of religious or dietary exemption to send my child to school with his own lunch?[/quote]
I'd never let my kids eat that processed crap on a daily basis. If I needed an exemption I'd just write "Leviticus 11" on their lunch bag and send them on their way. And push come to shove I'd claim a dietary exemption due to my religious beliefs.
Seriously, no joke. Whenever I book travel on major airlines overseas, and a meal is offered, I opt for the Kosher. I won't get any of the pork or shellfish that I love but I will get a better quality meal that is prepared in a proper manner and free of many toxins that normal processed foods contain.
Why wouldn't I want the same for my kids? (Or your kids)
And, yes, this does come down to a seperation of church and state issue.
