And now I booked my second -both times because the fares were much cheaper. What kind of problems should I expect? By the way, I usually book directly with USair but when you can save $300 on both tickets-that is hard to pass up.
Maya, my reasons for booking directly with the airline are the same as the reasons Shammy has already stated. I, as well as others we know, have experienced similar situations to those that Shammy mentioned. Orbitz, Expedia, Travelocity, etc. are fine as long as everything goes exactly as planned... it's when there's a hiccup along the way that you very quickly realize the truth in the old cliche "you get what you pay for". Because of our experiences, we only book through the airlines now... though I'd probably bite on the $300 savings myself, but only if we didn't have the luxury of being able to wait for a better fare. So here's hoping that your travel plans go smoothly... I wouldn't want you to miss our dinner date at El Zocalo.
