A Brit here, just passing a casual observation, having read this thread for the last several pages or more. I have quoted tbay's post, but could quite easily have posted several by spaz or by mercy.... I have to say, I am utterly stunned that ANYbody would believe that the way in which world leaders should debate - and in ANY way that they would get results from this - is by being so incredibly disrespectful and crass in their language towards someone (whomever, fellow world leader or other). Are you all actually being serious???!!
I can pretty much assure you, the ONLY result it would achieve would be to get the backs up of the recipient, to prompt them to dig their heels in on their particular viewpoint, and for all diplomacy to go out of the window. And I am sorry - but seeing as though being PC is now deemed not the done thing and we are being applauded for not pussy footing around and for speaking our minds - but.... oh my bloody good motherf'ing god with jesus and mary hitching a lift on the bike!!!!
