Okay, I got this from a good friend of mine. Just for the fun of it, tell us one of your 'quirks' that other people might find amusing. Nothing that smacks of mental illness (okay, that rules all of mine out
), but just some trait, habit something that might be seen as unusual. My friends is, she doesn't eat green skittles. One of mine? I can't stand the sound of rubbing on a carpet, like when you spill something and use a towel to clean up the spot. It's like nails on a chalkboard for me. Another, I have crooked pinkies. When looking down on them palms down, both of my pinkie's curve inward. It runs in my family, my grandfather had it, my mom (I have a long story about an incident with my mom, too funny) and my brother both have it. Straight pinkie's look weird to me. What's strange about you? ![]() |

Okay I have m-a-n-y but one thing that I do that I do not understand is.....I love to travel and I do it often, I book my airfare and I start to get all excited. Time comes to pack and I can't, I put it off and off and off. Sometimes up to the point that whoever is driving me to the airport will have to pack for me. Oh now that I've written this down maybe this falls into mental illness.......

Quirks...mental illness...what have you... As soon as I say I can't think of one, someone is sure to ride to my rescue and spout off a whole list. SOOO...Ok, when I drink tequila the little muscles between my eyes twitch. Does that count? I did think of some others but I'm pretty sure they belong on another thread. ![]() |

I think we had a thread somewhere in the distant past along these lines, cuz I remember reading some oddities....
The only one that I know of that I do is the lightswitch lineup. Where, if there are two switches controlling one light, or set of lights, then I make sure they are both in the down position when I turn the light off. For example, in my kitchen there is a switch by the fridge and another by the backdoor and they both control the overhead lights. At 11:00-ish when I'm doing Lights Out in the house and go to turn those lights off, I will walk ACROSS the kitchen to the fridge even if I'm by the backdoor (and vice versa) if the switch is up over there. Even though flipping the switch UP on the lightswitch right where I'm standing would turn it off. I just can't bring myself to flip a switch UP to go OFF. I will walk that extra mile. ![]() |

you're friend and I would prolly not get along, PB I think i'm a little OCD sometimes.... I too have the light switch thingy, SKM. Also, when I wash my hands in a public restroom, I HAVE to pull 4 of the mutlifold paper towels out of the dispenser to dry my hands. No more-no less. I also usually eat one food at a time from my plate and prefer the foods not be touching each other to get all mixed up together...... |
