The World Series Opens Tonight

My wife Shelby and I are on our way out the door. We have tickets to the opening game!!

We reserved a room downtown and will cab to the game to avoid the drive home.

Weather permitting, it should be a good game.

I think Tommy and Flash were going to try and make a game in Houston...!!

...I'd certainly try VERY hard guys....who knows when it'll happen again...

(But I guess you big-city Sports market folks get used to having professional teams to go see whenever the mood suits you... - And YES...I'd like a little cheese with that)

I think the Pres is going to go. My best friend is the supervisor for Armour park (across the street from the ball park) and she said that there are FBI CIA and cops everywhere. She has to stay at the park to let them all go to the bathroom. She leaves at 2:00 and they are sending in security. They have marked the field with an X so a hellicopter can land there. I live in the nieghborhood and not even allowed to go to Jimbo's for a drink. You have to have a ticket or live in the area that has been closed down. The traffic is already bad. I need to go to Target and I can't even imagine how I will get home. I dunno people, this is pretty big! It makes me very excited and I can't wait to see how they do. We will all be at Bridgeport Inn bar on Archer and I think it's Loomis or Troop, south side of the street. If anyone want's to stop by, your welcome. We can have some drinks!!

Ok, you have no idea how hard that was for me to say!

Should be a great series. Can't wait for a distraction from Wilma. I plan to mix a few margaritas up and fire up the newly calibrated HD set in the basement.

It was a little chilly last night, however, nothing the alcohol could not ward off. Security did not find my flask and it was nice to have the added warmth in the form of alcohol. Good game, I think. I know we won. It was exciting to be a part of an event like the World Series. Now I don’t have to do it again.

Afterward, we ended up at some bar downtown called Man vs. Margarita.

They serve excellent, large margaritas.
I have vague memories of the rest of the night.

Woke this morning, ordered room service, drove home and we are doing things around the house.
