Julie,

Is there another site where you are seeing this post?

I read this information on another site:

Deseo Hotel - PDC - Re-opened Oct 24th, operating normally

Mosquito Blue Hotel - PDC - Scheduled to Re-open Oct 25, very little damage

Ikal Del Mar - PDC - Some minor damage, Provisional re-opening date Nov 23

Not sure how acurate the information is, but if true, it is simply amazing.

Where did you find that info? I was wondering how Deseo, Hotel Basico, Mosquito Blue, and Hotel Lunata held up. Hoping for them...

How about Rosamirador? Any info on the condition of the hotel? They never answer there emails, even under normal circumstances, so any info on the condition of the hotel would be appreciated. I have reservations on the 13th of December. Thanks

There are several reports on the " I talked to ______ They said this!" thread regarding Tony and Cheri.

They are safe but have not been able to get back to Playa yet.

Hello everybody

I just heard from our friends, the owners of Casa Buena Suerte, a small resort on the Tulum beachfront down next to entrance to the Sian Ka'an, that they had very little damage from Wilma. They will be open for business again starting October 31. Apparently the road from town is OK, their staff is well, and the beach may actually have gained sand. Amazingly Tulum sems to have escaped Wilma's wrath.

Contact the owners at http://www.casabuenasuerte.com/ for more current information or reservations.

Our hopes for a speedy recovery go out to all our friends in Playa and to the towns north of there that took the brunt of the storm's fury.

First of all, I'm sorry for all those people who have had to go through that stupid hurricane. Been away for a while and now I'm back here... I was just wondering does anyone know how's El Tukan Condotel? Has it been damaged or is it OK? Due to arrive to PDC on 11th Dec.

I sent Florencia an e-mail but no reply yet. That area hadn't gotten electricity back as of yesterday afternoon per someone that owns a condo just up the street at Las Palmas. She said Las Palmas had damage but the care takers and Lupita are ok. A window & door blown out and railings down. Didn't sound too bad but Villa Amanecer didn't have any buildings in the way to help stop the wind. If I hear back I'll post right away.
