I was curious when are you suppose to go to Playa and what exactly did Delta tell you? Has your flight been cancelled. I am scheduled to fly Saturday with Usair and as of 7 this morning, my flight has not been cancelled

We don't leave until Nov. 30th. I got this information directly from Delta.com which was updated last night. I was a little surprised because yesterday they were planning to resume flights on Oct. 29th.

On a side note, I work for Delta so I'll keep my ears open today for more information.

OK...this is the latest I was able to come up with at Delta. After looking at our employee intranet connection at Delta, I pulled up flights leaving on Oct. 30th and I see a couple of flights cancelled but I also see 2 flights planned. This continues all the way up until Nov. 12th. After Nov. 12th all flights are operational. So I guess what Delta means is that they will not have FULL operational access into CUN until Nov. 12th. But limited flights will begin this weekend on the 29th.

Clear as mud now?

Thank you but nothing will be clear to me until I see my husbands brown eyes sometime on Saturday.

I am so glad to hear that! I checked on re-routing yesterday to fly into Merida and Chetzumal and it was 2 1/2 times the amount of flying into Cancun. This really was not happy news needless to say....Looks like we will fly in the day after "normal" flights are scheduled...hope that is true but since information is changing hourly...I will continue to monitor. Thank you for all of the info!

Sun Country just told me 30 minutes ago, all their flights are canceled to Cancun thru Oct 31st. She said you can't fly into cancun, didn't say whether that was for all airlines or just SC. According to their site they did fly in yesterday from Dallas.

Sorry bout this bit of bad news but just spoke to British Airways, and American Airways and both confirmed Cancun will not be open for business until 1st Nov.

We are flying into Miami from the UK on the 31st and stopping over to fly to Cancun on the 1st (hopefully) unless we get cancelled for a 5th time.
Does anyone know of a cheap place to stay near Miami airport as we`ve never been there

cancellation

I'm back. Listen everyone to those still holding a ticket-do not assume anything until your flight has been cancelled. Usair has not cancelled any flights yet for Saturday. Some airlines are cancelling to be on the safe side and thus saying the airport wont be opening until lets say Nov. 1. I am not saying Usair wont be cancelling its flights for Saturday all I am saying is that until I see cancelled on their site, I wont worry. What happens is going to happen. So be patient-just concern yourself with your airline.

Just booked with Delta for the 31st October Toronto/Cancun via Atlanta. Delta say they are going. National news broadcast last evening showed photos and stated that the main terminal was the only one operating and only for daytime flights.

I just talked with Alaska about my Nov. 2nd flight. They said that they are resuming flights into Cancun tomorrow. We'll see if that happens. Now I just need to see if the Condo is going to be okay.

If it's a USA 3000 charter w/ Apple.....

All USA 3000 Airlines flights to Cancun from now through Monday, October 31, 2005 are cancelled, due to the local conditions in Cancun.

And even if it's a flight booked with USA 3000....

CANCUN:

All USA 3000 Airlines flights to Cancun from now through Monday 31 October 2005 are cancelled, due to the local conditions in Cancun and the Riviera Maya.
