Iberostar Del Mar & Beach OR Tucan/Quetzal?

We stayed at the Iberostar Tucan with our kids and it was one of our best trips ever! We are staying the the Iberostar Paraiso Lindo next week. I decided on the Lindo becasue my kids are now 12 and 14 and I figured with more pools or water features it wouldn't seem as crowded with more option. We loved the Tucan because 1) the staff was incredible 2) small and easy access to all areas of the hotel 3) beautiful beach close to the end of a hotel zone. Things we did in playa: Rented car. Swam with the dolphins, xel-ha, mayan tour with alltournatives, rode ATV's, yal-ku lagoon (favorite day), deep sea fishing (caught two marlins, but we did private family charter for full day). I don't think you can go wrong with either Iberostar but I can understand why the Tucan gets so many repeat guests.

I would hesitantly suggest that if you are on our honeymoon you may prefer an adult only type hotel. Though in November most kids will be in school so may be fine. Definitely go to candomaps--They had lots of helpful info and their maps were very helpful.
