But if I want to go by car or train to Amsterdam it's not that easy. I may use the ferry/ship to Denmark, but then it's more easy to use plain.
That reminds me that my hubby and I want to make a trip with the ferry and car to Norway before summer 2006 if you have any tips, you are more than welcome I love Norway nature

I depends on what you want to see. We can talk about that when we meet in Amsterdam. Befor May it's snow most places. It's better for a roundtrip in summer I think. If you don't want to go skiing?

Hahaha.. sorry.. I couldn't resist.. I work in a hotel so I'm always advertising But I can say that it's getting more and more popular to come to Iceland and Norway in the winter to see the northen light.. Specially by the Japanese.. They believe that if they see northen lights they will be blessed with a boy child..
There was actually a japanese family last weekend at my hotel, Parents with 3 little girls.. and they finally saw the northen lights (had gone to norway but they didnt see them) and they were so happy when they (northen lights) appeared dancing in the sky.. Really nice to see that

Cool!

You could create a thread and post some pictures every now and then, of the growing progress. (j/k)

I want to go, I want to go, I want to go to Amsterdam. It's my birthday on the 7th of May so I asked my husband for a birthday trip to Amsterdam. Still trying to talk him into this one but he's being stubborn. I still have time.....

That would make 2 birthdays to celebrate! It's my MIL's birthday too, and I'm pretty sure she'd like to join in.

A friend brought me an Amaryllis bulb from Amsterdam two years ago, around this time of year. It bloomed a week or so before Christmas and as I recall, it lasted beyond New Years. The blooms were huge and stunning.

I love your photos, as usual. This thread is a quite a teaser! I wish I could plan on it.

Mine is growing too... it's a dark red one, I loved that colour when I saw it in Amsterdam.

You could ask Santa for a trip to Amsterdam (small Christmas gift and you don't even need a parcel and wrapping paper )
