Bambu

We are home again in good old England!! after another wonderful week in Playa del Paradise, despite four cancellations and a detour that took us to New York, Miami and Dallas we finally made it to an "Undevastated" Cancun airport and took the (ado) bus onto Playa via Cancun where on the way we did witness some damage but not the total destruction the media had led us to believe we would find, so to all those of you waivering on whether to pack your bags and go , do it !!! Playa is as beautiful as ever and around 90% up and running .
My wife Jen and i would like to extend our gratitude for all the help and advice given by our friends on Playa Info mostly Mindbender and Jaquie , Tony & Cherie and Mike on buying our new business, well Bambu is now ours and after a total refit we plan to be open on the 25th Nov, which only leaves us to sell up here and get ready for our new lives in Mexico
Hasta luego Playa

Bambu is a small Asian/ Thai stir fry resturant on 8th street between 10 ave and 5th based on a self serve idea that you choose the meal (as opposed to fully set dishes). Its ben running and quite popular for a while and we are just refreshing the resturant.

Thanks for your good wishes

It is good to read these type of first hand accounts.
Good luck with your restaurant.

Just wish we could be there for the grand re-opening, just means we will have to work harder here to make the move sooner

I may have to stash a few in the luggage for medicinal purposes; wonder if I can get a doctor's note for that?

Anyway, good luck on the opening. You're actually living a dream of ours.
