pollos asados
Hi all, I'm going to be in Playa on Friday and I was wondering if anyone had any updates on the pollo situation. It sounds like some have moved and some have closed. Last year I finally found Star Chicken but I found out that it had just closed that week. Any new info would be appreciated. teddy

2nd at 20th (Asadero el Pollo Estilo Sinaloa) remains my favorite pollo. It's more expensive, and worth it.
The only pollo in town with the guarantee: "If you chicken isn't hot and juicy, send it back!"

More Pollo Asados
Just remembering our Tulum tour last year and the lunch that came with it, which I believe was chicken asado with all the trimmings. I've read this whole thread and I see there are a bunch of places listed to get the chicken, but I also know that since the thread started, some have closed down. So of the ones open now, which are the best ones?
Looking for an update to this thread is what it comes down to. It was such great chicken! Thanks. Last edited by SunKneeMarie : 06-06-2005 at 04:54 PM. |

I went on the Tulum tour a month and a half ago. The pollo that was served for lunch was from Pollos Bronco. It is sooo good.
On this past visit to PdC, I had lunch at Pollos Estilo Sinaloa which James had mentioned in an earlier post. Great roasted chicken plus the fixings; also inexpensive. |

Pollos Bronco
I know that Pollos Bronco is on the left side as you are going into Tulum pueblo. I believe it is after the Boca Paila turnoff and before the bus station (the bus station is on the right).

you'll find two Pollo Bronco outlets in Tulum, both on the left hand side heading south.
I've been digging the pollo Santiago lately ![]()
