Well then perhaps I should have been more specific, as Bearcat just was. Tebow is an unproven entity at the pro level. He was talked about as a gamble (as many promising and talented college QBs are) and it remains to be seen if he'll live up to that promise and the gamble pays off (as it often doesn't, in the pros). Given this situation, it seems odd for a guy like Perry who's a governor hoping to "graduate" to the presidential level to say he's Tebow, as people (and especially Republicans) seem to disprefer the untried, unknown, gamble type of candidate.
I'm assuming a far percentage of evangelicals are likely to know this, or to run in crowds who know this. I could be wrong, but that's my assumption.
