Oscar y Lalos Update
Good news! We were there on Nov. 22 and the place is up and running. Palms have been replanted, the tables were out, people were having drinks, people were kayaking, etc. It appears more plants and palms will be planted by the looks of things; there was a large area next to the parking lot where many were sitting just waiting to be planted somewhere, and a few workers hovering around them. The drive into the place is quite a surprise because of the Wilma-trimmed vegetation; you can see things and views you've never seen before!

Our lunch was fantastic and the service was excellent, but of course, no hurricane could ever take away that magnificent view. It is a postcard! Yes, the vegetation is different and there is still a poor car in the parking lot that was a victim of the storm, but, Oscar y Lalo remains perfecto! For those that have not been, we strongly encourage you to go! |
