I'm with Joana...any German beer there? I love me some Hefeweizen. Of course, it would seem odd to be in Playa drinking Hefeweizen.

The food sounds delicious...Manne's is on my list!

Sadly, no German beer on tap. It's way way way too expensive to import it. Not quite the same drinking Corona or Modelo Amber on tap, but I liked it anyway.

I hear ya!

We'll save the Hefeweizen drinking for here at home. I am missing Leon and can't wait to be back down there drinking it.

Manie does have a few German beers 'not on tap', but you do have to try the "home-made" tequila it is very good.

The 'home-made' tequila is really good. Bought some there a few years ago right after they opened. They bottled it in a plastic Coke bottle . That cracked me up, I declared it but no one even gave it a second look. It was present for my brother in law. I rebottled it in a nice bottle with a personalized label but he still has that plastic bottle.
We were told about Manne's by a local, Cowboy John, and have loved it ever since.

Bratwurst!

What would be great, would be for Cowboy John to supply Manne with his Bratwurst, and other sausages. John's surpass anything made by Johnsonville in the U.S., but I don't think that he wants the volume commitment, even from just Manne's. During "Wilma," we residents of Mom's Hotel received a bunch ("Gaggle?") of his sausage when John's refrigeration dissappeared with the city's electrical grid, and they became our hurricane party! If Wal-Mart or the others ever carry the Johnsonville brand, I wish Manne would change to it.

I'm glad too that at last american and canadien people love our place..... not everybody has to like it, but at least before talking bad about our biergarten you should give it a trie and if you really are not enjoying the place than nobody ask you to come back...... but without even one visit special german people should better be quit......

Hi Manne, Were going to be in Playa over 6/30-7/7 and are looking forward to some good German food. We were looking for some idea of what your menu is. We looked at the page listed on this site but its not very descriptive. Could you give us an idea of what you have to offer? Do you have saurbratten or hossenpheffer (sp)? Look forward to meeting you.Rich & Shelly

We were in Playa in May and were sad as Manne's was closed for their vacation. I guess they deserve a vacation, but we were disappointed!
