Hi Gabriella, we are really sorry that we disappointed you, but we had to visit manne's mom in germany for her 80 th birthday !!!!! thats the reason why we closed the biergarten for almost 3 weeks....... i don't know if we deserved the vacation but once for sure after the hurricanes last year we really needed same weeks off.....
hopefully see you your next time in playa

Susie,
You are doing very well with your translations. Rob and I hope to see you very soon. Even when you live here, it's difficult to get to all your favorite places!!!

Hi Manne and Susie,
Thanks for the reply. I looked at the website and it looks real good. We can't wait to come and visit and eat when were in town next week. I hope we get lucky enough, and you will have the Sauerbraten as a special one of the days while we're there. What I meant to type last time was Hasenpfeffer or roast rabbit. The first and only time I have ever seen or had this was at a German place in Washington DC. I was amassed; I had never had rabbit so good. I think the rabbit was marinated in a vinegar and herb mix for a while and then roasted and served with a sour sauce, kind of in the same spirit as sauerbraten.

Hi Rich,
we are getting ready to have the sauerbraten next week as a special bad news about the hasenpfeffer : no rabbits here
Please remember that you shouldn't come on tuesday (because we don't come either < it's our day off at the )
Looking forward to meet you
Susie

No, I agree!! When I'm visiting a foreign country I don't want to see a German Biergarten or a Dutch "broodje van Kootje" or "friet van Piet". If I want to go to a Biergarten I visit Germany. If I want to go to a "Broodje van Kootje" I stay in Holland!
When I visit Mexico I only want to see Mexican food!

Gotta say we've enjoyed Manne's each time Jutta und i have been there. Is the only restaurant where i've ever eaten liver & liked it. Didn't go back to the biergarten, just hung out ( or hung onto ) the bar. Told our friends visiting in a couple weeks about the restaurant websites. The husband is Deutsch & they plan on stopping by 4 a drink or 3. Alles Gute!

Manne, I don't know if you remember us. My wife and I came by looking for Jez one Friday about two weeks ago - we were going to eat pork together, but he wasn't there. (I'll post a pic below to jostle your memory.) Your beer was great, but - shame on me - I didn't realize you had a full German menu!!! I love German food! I am coming back in July with my son. I think we will come visit one night for dinner. Are you also open for lunch?

Also, Susie, thank you SO much for introducing me to Luis at the dive shop around the corner. That next morning we had an EXCELLENT cenote dive at Dos Ojos. Danke!

Edit: And Manne, PLEASE dont't let me leave without reminding me to try to "home made" tequila!!!
