got an e-mail from the boss with a Saturday nite reservation at the Driskill Hotel in downtown Austin for me and Lil G!!!........ a nite of luxury, $30 tequila shots , and breakfast in bed!!!

If you're ever in Austin and are looking for a nice hotel, this is it!

Looks great--we've never been to Austin and it's on our list for 5 to 7 nights.
We like to fly in and walk--don't really like cabs and rentals. Like a central location so we can walk most everywhere to good resturants and great local bars. Location is imporatant and is one of the many reasons why we love Playa. Taxi in and taxi out and we can walk to all the great eating and drinking places of Playa.

Mike said he's been in the lobby area to meet some people when he's in the area, but never stayed there. He said it's very nice. Looks beautiful.

of course we had lettuce wraps for you, and just about everything else on the menu. After dinner, we hung out at the Cedar Door, very quiet lil bar with some good margaritas and Mexican martinis. The Driskill was awesome as usual, great employees, great architectural details, incredible Christmas tree (yes, a Christmas tree

), a truly great Tequila selection and some pretty good margaritas. It's always a good time at our company parties, very tight knit management group and some pretty cool wives too!!!!......... I just never feel quite right pulling up to the Driskill in our Nissan 4x4 truck
