Back to Playa in Feb 06
We finally have heard from all of our "gang" and no takers this year for a February trip so we will be going solo...as opposed to 4 couples last year...being DINKS with no university students or adult boarders it is easier for us...however, waiting to hear from everyone til mid December was a little trying. Anyway, we are wondering how things are progressing...have checked a few times and encouraged by all the good reports. Many people here travel to Dominican Republic because direct flights are available...and I am doing my best to encourage people to try Playa...but all we hear about is Cancun. Must say though that TV ads have really picked up hear for Mexico travel, so that should help the local industry.
We are thinking of a stay at Maria Adelia or possibly a condo such as Las Palmas, or maybe Hacienda San Hose. Any news or views on any of those? We really like to have a kitchen, pool access, etc. Suggestions would be welcome. Can hardly wait to visit again, and hope to line up a few visits with others from the site. |

What are your dates? We're there 18th to 28th Feb. 06. Adelia Maria was 1 block away from where we stayed last year and a lovely place. I think if booked through this site you get the Playa Deal Card. We're actually going to buy ours this year as we are in a condo not on this site. The deal card IS a deal. Saves a lot of $$$ on food etc.Hope we catch ya there.

Las Palmas
Hi there!
Just got back yesterday from our 10 day stay at Las Palmas...Had a great time there! The condo is very nice...great staff onsite for help....Depending on what dondo you choose, it has all the amenities you need....about 2-3 blocks to Mamitas and Tukan Beach clubs, with the best beaches around. Also, lots of nice restaurants close to home (the condo is in the Italian district) The rooftop pool is great and rarely used...we had it to ourselves every day...it's not really heated, so it's a real wake up swim.... Let me know if you have more questions about them... Brian |

Hi We are going to Las Palmas in the spring. If you have any pictures of Mamitas ect. it would be lovley to see them. Did your condo have laundry or did you take it out to do. We are staying for a month so we must do the laundry. Any other info you could give us would be great. Example how far are you from the condo when you arrive in PDC from Cancun.
