Glad I found this site Molotov or otherwise I'da had NO idea wtf you were talkin' 'bout!
EDIT: Now that I've read this fully, let me just say that the author and I do not necessarily share the same views... but at least he gave me an idea who this group is and what they're about. From his point of view, anyway. Last edited by Susie Q Roo : 12-12-2005 at 08:21 PM. |

Music. What a great form of expression.
And yeah...Allan Wall the author of the article gave an indepth look into the band and at the same time pointed out their glaring contradictions. Can you have it both ways? Molotov can. |

a culero doesn't mean coward in the context, it means asshole or similar putz, and pinche doesn't mean cunt. That guy should stick to picking apart his kids' rap songs that top the US charts. Frijolero is a great tune

My loose translation is a lot better than his inaccurate one. Anyway, sad that we're missing Molotov in PDC tonight... LOVE THAT BAND! |

Do you know of any sites where you can hear a sample of their music? |

Damn, what a cool show. Tight sound and inspired. I'm taking the day off to recover.

Ok, these pics kinda suck and I'm sorry. I was getting jostled, pushed, spilled on, etc. Plus, there was a lot of burning herb in the air, so I might have gotten a contact high.
This was a really fun event, it was nice to have a well-known band play in Playa. I miss live music! There were hundreds of people there, all of the surrounding bars/restaurants were selling beer, and NOT ONE BATHROOM. I left while they were still playing because I couldn't hold it anymore. Yay, MTV! Here you go: Keith and the Forum Goddess make an appearance: The crowd started gathering at about 4 pm. Band started a little before 6: Sonia knew almost every word: Freebird! FatCat Skipper Jez never misses a Playa social event: Molotov's token gringo: Sonia rockin' hard in a funky place: Looks like baby's gonna be a rocker, too: ![]() |

Rock on!!!
I absolutely loved it... It's been a while since I had this much fun and I enjoyed every minute of it, although I wound up with sore feet, TOTALLY worth it! The almost two hour wait (let's face it) was a given... the band was giving some sort of interview or having a photo session on the terrace of hotel Cohiba at about 5, with the crowd already waiting. They were very nice though, and apologized for an obviously not well organized event. However... The music started and it was all forgotten, many great songs, some of them new, I hadn't heard them before. But when they played the classics, WOW!! I also want to emphasize how great the sound was, it was completely professional and awesome The band is celebrating their 10th Anniversary, I remember too well, when they started, they would sell the cd's themselves, because they couldn't get any radio stations to play their music, so they had no publicity... it's been a long way since then. PS: I hadn't said this many curse words in a loooooong time!! ![]() |
