James,
You made a couple of comments regarding these resorts in your responses. I will be coming to Mexico in October (late) with my sister and friend and our travel agent has booked us a package with reservations at an all inclusive resorts. You mentioned malaria and a recommendation to use safety wrist bracelets at these resorts. Am I missing something here? Are these resorts danger zones or reputed to be for 'un-safe' people? |

Stayed at Riu Playacar July 20-23. Great place, good food, great pools and beach. Swim up bar tenders were the best. Entertainment was also very good and very international. I joked with my travel agent about wanting to stay another day and she told me that Riu Playacar is always booked up so I couldn't. I'm looking forward to my next trip.

Don't panic. Remember that it seems to be easier to complain than to praise. I believe a lot of people have had a great holiday at the Allegro. And you are not a prisoner. If you don't like it, just get in a taxi to Playa (5 minutes, about 4 usd) and use Allegro as your base. We have nice beaches here in Playa and lots of good restaurants.
