Apple price guarantee??

Has anyone had any problems getting Apple to honor their price guarantee which is included in the AVOK insurance? I just checked our exact vacation on Apples website (flight, hotel, room category) and it dropped over $800. I called my TA and Apple is telling them that it has dropped, just not that much. They are working on it, and will call me in the a.m.

You didn't say if you are on a charter flight or a scheduled air flight but...

One thing people don't realize when their vacation includes scheduled air (and I wouldn't expect them to actually) is that not only does the flight and hotel have to be EXACTLY the same, the class of service on the plane also has to be EXACTLY the same. Usually when there has been a price drop on a scheduled air flight, it's for a different class of service, and therefore the Apple price guarantee will not apply.

Other times when a client contacts me about a price drop for a charter package, and they think that it has gone lower than it really has, it's because they didn't get far enough along in checking that price online to have all the taxes added in. Only until you get to the point where you're ready to hit the purchase button do you know for sure what the actual price is that includes the taxes. That might be what you're dealing with, can't say for sure though.

I will be at the Iberostar parasio maya the third week of january, and I had my agent check on the price the other day and it went down by 600 dollars and I got the discount with no problem thru apple...

Worse case scenario, if it isn't the exact same per Apples standards. See if you can cancel your current trip & rebook at the cheaper rate...you still would be hundreds ahead & only would be out the cost of the trip insurance.
