Too much variation from the book, but I should just expect that.
There was so much to wrap up and too little time.
For example, the Theon story lacked so much of what happened in the book as far as Bastard Bolton etc, and I don;t know how the Greyjoy men got out of Winterfell alive, unless it was on the decree of Robb that they will be pardoned if they deliver Theon.
The House of the Undying was way different and I thought anticlimactic. I liked how in the book she was given specific instructions on doors to enter, etc.. and the meeting with the undying at the end before torching the place. I was lolooking forward to how they would portray that whole scene.
Oh well.
I am reading book four and enjoying it. However, I admit to difficulty keeping new and some older characters straight.

I agree - I wished they had made it into a two-hour season finale, then perhaps they could have kept some of the story lines closer to the book.
