We were sitting outside at night in shorts and short sleeved shirts all week and we are next to the beach. Last night it did turn colder. I did not change what I was wearing but I did grab a blanket so that I could still sit outside. When I walked my dog last night I was still wearing shorts and T shirt and I was completely comfortable and that was perhaps at 9pm (near the beach in Playacar). And If I had worn long pants during the day I would have been very uncomfortable as it would have been too hot for me.
For a visitor I would say conditions are normal. Shorts and T-shirt weather during the day. And if you are going out at night and expect to sit outside long pants and a long sleeved shirt may be best. |

A few years ago it was chilly in Playa over the holidays; 60f. In the evening we witnessed a number of local children in the square in the evenings wearing Snowmobile suits!
Where in the world did they get them? |
