Bringing jewelry to PDC through Cancun airport?
Hi, I'm coming on my first trip to PDC with my girlfriend in a few weeks. I was planning on proposing to her while we are there. I was wondering if it is safe to bring a fairly expensive engagement ring in a carry-on bag through customs at Cancun airport. From some internet searches I've heard stories about people getting taxed on jewelry while most people said that wasn't the case. I can't afford to have it taken away or pay any taxes on it. Does anyone have any advice on what I should do? I don't speak any Spanish. Thanks for any feedback.
