Need Resort Suggestion
Hi all,
Just found this handy site today - lots of good info. DH and I would like to take a trip in late January to Playa Del Carmen area. We are in our early 40's and would like a place with decent food and drinks, good beach and pool area. We mostly want to relax, take a day to visit the ruins, etc.. We can't spend the big bucks (say Riu Palace) but would like a good recommendation for a 5 night stay. What are your opinions on AI vs a traditional hotel? Thanks for your help, Kellye |

We've always stayed at AI's, so I can't compare them to non AI, but I'm sure each has its advantages. Try a search on the topic, there have been several threads on the topic.
Last year we stayed at El Dorado Seaside Suites and really enjoyed it. Middle of the road pricewise, but a very nice property. We've also stayed at El Dorado Royale twice, spendier but very nice as well. |
