New Hotel - used to be Continental Plaza status??

Just wondering if anyone knows the status and or progress since the hurricane on the hotel that used to be the Continental Plaza (I think it is a Palace Hotel)?

We stayed at the Xaman Ha in Feb and had the unit right on the end on the side near the contruction which was not very enjoyable to use our patio and decided we would not return until this hotel was completed.

Also any idea if Senor Frogs will return our son loved that place becuase of the frogs.

The frogs. hmmm Never heard it put that way. I'd be curious too.

The Playacar Palace is finished and opened on December 15th.

No idea about Señor Frogs though.

I own the top corner condo just north of the old Continental Plaza, behind the "Frogs"... As far as I know the Plaza is open and construction on "The Frogs" should be complete soon. I will be down for a few days mid Jan. and will be able to report on the progress. The new building will no longer have the palapas roof, rather a cement deck for the private use of the Plaza Marina ocean front condo owners. I will update as soon as I have info!

We left on the 12th and saw the progress on the Plaza (Palace) every day we were there. We knew it was just about to open!

Yes - they are part of the Palace Resorts chain and are AI.

PLENTY of info and photos out there with a web search...

It sure gives Xaman Ha Condos, the Cozumel Ferry area, the overall look to the area just south of the ferry dock in general a better view than the former "Beirut Palace" look it had for SO long...
