Speaking of good friends, We started "talking" to Jan&Chas on a Cancun fourm about 10 years ago. We just happened to be going to Cancun at the same time and our hotels were only a little ways apart. Not knowing much about each other we decided to meet at their hotel bar. We hit it off great together and have met them about 6 times in Mexico.......We have even brought our daughters down and shared a condo in Cancun together. We bluffed our way into the Moon Palace when it was new to meet Brett Farve and the Green Bay Packers. (Jan made me do it) They are some of our best friends and we have never got together yet outside of Mexico. All from a fourm like this.

LOL I totally do that too! I run into people talking about Playa/Cancun all the time it seems and they all say it is GONE totally Wiped out by hurricanes... (UGH)

So of course I then tell them that I have a bunch of friends who live in the area or who travel there alot and I know from them that the area is not gone..

Then I realize I just said you guys are my friends and yet we've never met, I don't think I'd recognize any of you (without your beads) and some I still don't even know your first names! lol

Thanks David! I agree! Those years were great, still are. Seems like yesterday! Charlie thought I was crazy for meeting people off the internet but we had talked for months in advance and felt we already new you guys! But it still is so strange that, like you said, we have never met anywhere else except in Mexico! Too bad my Brett may not be returning next year

(just my opinion). That definately was fun, I still have my Packer Hat that he signed up on my wall and those pics we took with them (except Brett) at that sports bar (can't remember the name), I also have that great big Sumbraro that I stoled from Pericos also hanging on my wall. Can't wait for this year in Playa (our once a year meeting!)

How about the time we were going to try meet in the airport as our flights were coming in at about the same time on a Saturday. Your plane landed right behind ours and we ran into each other right off the planes that were parked next to each other.

I remember all of that and more like that night at Pat O'Briens when I had to get up on the chair and take at least 8 drinks/beer off the waiters head, then next time it was Tammy's turn to get on the chair or more like a stool, and guess what? Smash! Onto the floor went all the beers! I think I have a pic of that somewhere!
