Old Friends/New Friends

I've been hanging out here 'full time' for about a year now, even though I joined several years ago. Sometimes I feel like a big geek for spending as much time as I do on this forum. Then again so do you people.

:p Anyway, it has an interesting effect on my life. First of all, I decide to go to Playa earlier than normal, during high season, to hang out with a bunch of friends I've never met. Interesting enough.

I've developed a reputation (being naughty) on this site and most of the people don't even know me.

On New Year's Eve I was at party when my friend's friend, who I had just met, we were talking about traveling. She was saying she had a mojitio in Jamacia, I believe it was and she couldn't remember what was in it. I, who has never had a mojito said "Oh, it's lime juice, mint leaves, sugar, soda water and rum."

So we are having further conversations and I kept finding myself wanting to say, "Oh, my friend who lives in Texas, California, Canada, Massachusets..etc, etc......"

Anyway, to be a bigger geek, just wanted to say I am grateful for you, my virtual friends. I am glad I have found so many people that I have so much and so little in common with. It's interesting to get different views on life, even if we don't always agree. I love getting to know all of you and can't wait to meet you in person. And if I never meet you in person, that's okay too, I'll see you on the board.

Okay, mushy time is over...go back to debating about Wal-Mart, journalists, and whatever else.

I've only been 'trolling' for the last week or so. Looks to me like I should have started researching Playa forums long before my trip. Lots of fun and interesting conversations out here.

Nothing better than meeting new people on vacation so during the week of Feb 18-25 I would appreciate if all of you fellow chatters could wear a 'forum' sign on your head so that I can pick you out in the crowd. LOL!

That's what the Nerak beads came into existance for. Just look for anyone walking around with various forms of red,white and green beads. You will find lots.

We might If certain people would ever put up an avatar with their picture....

Maybe it's something everyone can do who is going down there the month before....

Hey that pic/avatar represents one of the many great things about Playa....Has nothing to do with me....And have never worn a thong.
