You have to specifically say you want them saved...let me take a look and see if I can be more specific - unless of course someone else gets back to you with better instructions.

After you've typed your pm...you have to scroll way down to the bottom of the page and click the box to "save a copy in sent messages" to save it. Feel free to test out on me.

They used to be saved automatically, but I think James changed it because people complained their mailboxes filled up too fast (although, I'm not sure if this is why or where I got the idea).

Great Forum but Help is Needed

If anything, this forum is 'too' feature laden..to the point where only the nerdie types can really use it's more interesting features.

For example; I tried to pm a member here yesterday and wanted to include a pic from a tour to Coba back in Feb. 2004. I clicked on the "Insert Image" icon and get the cryptic response;

"Enter the text to be formatted
"

..duh? I guess it's a joy to the people comfortable with web design but a brick wall for those who don't arrive already knowledgeable. I'd like to explore all the forum's great features which I see the regulars using, but I have yet to find a HELP section?

In 2 weeks I'll be back in Playa and won't give a damn about it...but it would be nice to know these things.

EDIT: Okay..since I posted this, I've looked further and the Feedback Forum appears to have the answers to all the world's problems. Lots of reading but the user support is great.

Jim
