Accurate Weather Forcasters

Hello everyone - as I have spent the last 2 months anticipating our trip to PDC (after Wilma cancelled the first date) I have come to realize how important the weather can be...esp. since we are only staying for 4 days and 3 nights.

Can anyone give me a link (other than weather.com) for a reliable weather source? Or does anyone know about the amount of rain in general in the month of January or if the rain just has the tendenancy to blow through

Any offerings would be helpful to set my wifes heart at ease!

Reliable weather source? How can that be? Meteorologist is the only job that I know of that you can be wrong (forecasting weather) everyday and still have a job!! Just do a search for playa weather and you should find several sites to look at. Now, as far as the accuracy of the forecasts ????????????????????????? Hey, I could let you know the weather in Playa in about three days!!! Hooray.

Hi,

Weather Underground ...www.wunderground.com is a site I really like. We check it for sailing forecast throughout the summer. It has a ton of information.

Enjoy your trip!

Second that-they also have an almanac to check and see what the weather has been like the last few years on certain dates.

YOu said that you are headed there in 3 days? We are leaving the Kentucky area on Thursday early morning - where are you staying?

Good call about the meterologists being able to be wrong so often and yet still be able to have a job - could you imagine if the school teachers were able to operate under the same system? Anyway...

We are hoping for sun!

I own a condo on Calle 30 near Avenue 1 but hope to be moving into my new condo on Calle 28 near Avenue 5. I know that the last several days that it has been to cold to go to the beach. It is supposed to be about 80 degrees today.

I like that site, but found their weather forecasts to be unreliable outside of the US. I thought it strange, at least for my location, since you can get the official forecast off of the web (so their servers would just need to change the format). Even stranger, for my location, is that they did have fairly accurate forecasts for Sumas, Washington, which borders Abbotsford.

I wrote them an email a couple of years ago regarding this, and a VP wrote me back to say that they know and admit they don't have great forecasts outside of the US, they apologize, yadda yadda....

Maybe they've changed their sources since then?

In the end, though, there is hardly any sites, TV stations or radio stations that change the official forecast; they just give you what the government meterologists are giving them.

There is no thing as a correct weather forecast, other wise i think it would be called something other than a forecast.
