If anyone is interested in a full-time, elementary school English teaching position, please (pm) email me. It is available immediately and it involves teaching 10-11 yr. old students English Vocabulary, Grammar, Reading and Geography. The pay is decent, insurance, etc...

A certificate is not required - they're looking for someone to fill in for a teacher who left, and the applicant should have excellent English speaking skills and comfortable teaching children 10-11 yrs. old. No Spanish is required.

Just to let you know, there is a bilingual preschool program at the school for your 2 yr. old, and if you're a teacher, the school picks up the tuition for 1 child. So there ya go!

I believe that if you even come here on a tourist visa, then go to immigration with all the required paperwork (a list of the required paperwork is available at immigaration), plus the school would provide the proper documentation on your behalf, then an FM3 work visa will be granted. Now, having said all that, there is alot of footwork, paperwork, some expense and patience involved - don't forget, the patience part of that. In one case, it took about 8 weeks for the FM3 to be given to the teacher.

In 2.5 years this is what I will be pursuing. I'll have 30 years in the Colorado Public School system so will retire from there. Will then begin looking for a teaching position somewhere out of the country. I've taught 2nd graders (7 year olds), 4th graders (9 year olds) and middle school students (12-14 year olds).

Anyway, keep posting any positions like this in the future unless of course you head back to Corrales.

I wish I could be around in time to apply for the position. The position opened up 6 months too early!

Ah! Another Colorado public school teacher! I have another 7 years. I'm thinking I'd like to work with plants at Echters or O'Toole's when I'm finished.
Until then, back to work tomorrow.

Sounds like the perfect job! Sorry to say, I have about 8 more years before I can retire and teach in Mexico, but it truly is my dream!
