Giallo Limone New Years 2005!

8 of us Peeps got together for a terrific and lengthy (9:30 pm - 12:30am) 5 course (?) Prix Fixe New Years Dinner at Giallo Limone which included wine and Champagne. Giallo Limone is a small restaurant occupying part of the Hotel Quinto Sol property at Avenida Quinta y Calle 28. Actually there were 9 of us for the party, including The Goat, but she never seemed to be around while I was taking pictures! We had a great time! I don't have the menu (sorry) but Mo (who is a DEAD RINGER for Henry Winkler aka The Fonz!) and his wife outdid themselves as host and hostess with the MOSTEST along with their capable staff! It was Mo's birthday and he was certainly in the PARTY mode with whistles, streamers, hats, and Champagne! At midnight he got up on the bar, shook up a bottle of Champagne and gave us all a shower! The waiter and I sung and off-key rendition of the traditional Mexican birthday song, Las Mananitas" to Mo after midnight. I think all the wine, tequila and Champagne added to the..um.."unique" songfest!

Here's a hint for those who might be planning on New Years in Playa 2006! It seems that WHITE clothing is popular for New Years Eve and New Years Day. I somehow MISSED this from LAST New Years!

Zydeco (Mike) Kinz and angelhouston 819 (A'ndrea)

(Counterclockwise from front) Babbaloo (Rick), Harold (Tesla's Husband), Tesla 573 (Tonya), Zydeco (Mike), & Judy (Babaloo's SO)

Tonya, Mike, Kinz & A'ndrea

Zydeco (Mike)

Giallo Limone kitchen staff with an exceedingly slender Mrs. Mo making our dessert!

Hmmm... seemed to have missed the "tweaking" photo op! A'ndrea and Judy

Kinz...what can I say? What a CUTIE! :p

Pensive A'ndrea...who brought her own private stash of Vodka!

Harold and Tesla 573 (Tonya)

Kinz, A'ndrea & Judy

Judy, Babaloo (Rick), Harold and Tesla 573 (Tonya)

It was a GREAT night! Thanks for your company all!

that was a fun night. the variety of food that giallo limone served was delicious. the wine and the champagne that were included in the price was tasty as well. of course, my hangar one mandarin vodka on the rocks that kinz and i were putting away wasn't too shabby either. think that is what inspired me to use those hats!!! could not have asked for better dining partners to bring in the new year. everyone was fantastic.

Thanks for sharing those pics JoanieB. We really enjoyed our dinner at Giallo Limone also back in November and the complimentary Lemoncello was a nice touch. Cute little place.

Nice to put faces to names.
