I think my first concert was April Wine opening for Bryan Adams on his Cuts Like a Knife tour- in good ole Regina Saskatchewan, circa 1982 or so.

My first concert was April Wine too. At the Lethbridge Sportsplex when I was 14. The opening act was Heart just before the release of their first album when they were completely unknown. I remember hearing the thumping bass line of Magic Man on the radio months later and thinking that it sounded really familiar. I saw Cheap Trick open for Kiss about a year later (1976 or 77) and thought they were the best band I had ever heard. I ran out and bought the album the next day and mostly hated it because it was so over produced and pop sounding compared to what I heard in concert. I did like one track though.

I've got lots of 9:30 stories
