First Concert?

Ginger's Hillary Duff thread got me thinking about my first concert. I was living in Watford, England, and was about 12 years old. I went to the local football stadium and saw Elton John, Rod Stewart and Faces, and Nazareth. This was when Elton and Rod rocked (70s). Elton had just bought the local soccer team, and the game was a fundraiser.

I still remember the platform shoes that were all the rage.

What was your first concert? (BTW; I searched "First concert", and came up empty. Forgive me if this was done before).

Wow, that sounds like a cool concert, Mark!

Mine was exciting at the time, but now seems so dumb. Whitesnake/Kickaxe/Quiet Riot. Real top-notch bands.

My first was Cat Stevens at Madison Square Garden. I think it was around 1972'ish.

OMG! Someone else who has seen Kickaxe!!! That is hilarious!!! I saw Judas Priest and Kickaxe when i was 18. I had never heard of them before and never heard of them again until now 20 years later. If i remember correctly from listening to them they werent too good...probobly why we never heard of them again.

I wish I could remember... but it was at Ohio University in Athens and I was maybe 14 and all I remember about it was that I wore a dress or a skirt and my boyfriend and I were making out in the stairwell of a parking lot there. I swear PB, I am NOT trying to take away your Naughty Chica award, despite appearances today!

Wow, this is gonna take some thought...Black Sabbath ....The Checker Dome in St.Louis.circa....1970 or some time around. May have been under the influence

Beach Boys at Cape Cod Coliseum in 1974. I was 16. Snuck a 1/2 pint of Southern Comfort in by placing it across my chest/in my bra and wore a loose shirt. The checkers were only friskin' the guys. Concert was a blast.
