Desperate house wives

This may be because of the famale additives that they put into beer now days. I admit that I watch Desperate House wives now and then.

My question is what does a kiss mean to you, and does it matter how you intend to use the kiss(intent)?

Love desperate housewives.

Of COURSE intent matters with a kiss!! I kiss quite a few male friends... usually with the "good night hug" after a get together or party. It's a quick thing, meant in friendship.

Which brings up duration... cuz in the case of last night's episode, duration obviously had an impact... you'll notice the longer Carlos and Lynette's kiss went on, the more uncomfortable Gabby got. Same when Gabby kissed Tom.

I don't necessarily think there was "intent" on either couple's part last night for anything further (although Carlos sure seemed to think perhaps....), but I think it's best not to stir up those waters for the most part. What's the point?

But what good is any form of entertainment: literature, plays, TV, movies... if we can't apply the themes and scenarios to real life? Some of the best conversations are the "what ifs" from the major themes of stories we read in English classes. That's all make believe too.

(why do I have the feeling I'm about to be filleted for bringing up Shakespeare and Desperate Housewives in the same paragraph? :p )

Got me stumped there, I'll have to watch an episode because what I meant was I had no clue what you're talking about. Call it televisual ignorance.

It's just a generalization about anything a person watches or reads.... On some level it gets personalized.... I have been accused of personalizing things perhaps more so than some others, especially in a pseudo book club I used to belong to. One lady looked at me and said, "It's just a book."

I was never sure which one of us had missed the point more.

All it matters is we can't fall out: it's quiet enough here as it is (he says, when he should be getting a life... )

We won't fall out. It's not that important of a show!

It's one of those Monday daytime quiets... first "real" week back at work for a lot of people... holidays are officially over. It'll pick back up.

Are you spoilin' for some forum action??

I forget it's daytime over there... I'm just about to hit the sheets because I've got the beginnings of a cold, otherwise I'd start a new thread, "What comes into your mind". You know, post a squiggle and the next poster will associate a word.

Then, we'd get a pshychiatrist to analyse it...
