Check out the link to that little hotel in La Crucecita I posted in the first post. That is where we would stay. Or if you are really a hippie and cheap to boot , there are tons of small and cheap hotels in town too, or in Santa Cruz if you *need* an ocean view. Or stay in Zipolite or PE or Bocana or Conejos pueblo, very hippie-ish there.at any rate- like I said, no Americans here! You just have to put up with us pudgy, pasty, binge drinking Canucks.

Nice change of pace by doing categories while reporting, Rissask!
Pics (including the personal ones ) are great, too, although I think the originals will in fact be even better since you most likely had to downsize them in order to be used as attachments.

You are welcome! Glad you all enjoyed it.
Mexico is such a beautiful and diverse country. I had to laugh at my Dad's girlfriend when we got back- she asked us, "Why do you two ALWAYS go to places in Mexico?" Why not try Cuba or Aruba or Hawaii? She makes a good point, and we are hoping to go to Thailand in a couple years, but we just LOVE Mexico so much! You can always have a reliably good food, weather and experiences there. She went to Mazatlan once about 25 years ago and got quite sick, so now she holds that one experience against the entire country. *rolling eyes* Puerto Angel too, yes Jimmy, good suggestion! I haven't heard of Mazunte. ![]() Funny story- we just got on the bus for the half hour trip to the hotel, and they had all the curtains drawn (it was noon and bloody HOT)....this lady across the aisle from us noticed me opening the curtains so I could see the scenery, and she tells us that we shouldn't open them, that 'they are for our safety." WHA??? We just stared at her, and said "Excuse me?" She got quite snippy and said "They are closed for our security and safety!" I kind of laughed it off and said "Um, I think actually they are closed because it saves money on air conditioning and for people who want to sleep." The poor lady- it was her first trip to Mexico and someone must have been telling her stories of banditos!

What I did, and many others, is to register (free) at Photobucket and upload my pics there. After that it's a simple URL-copy from there pasted in a post here, et voilā! |
